We went this morning to our favorite monthly sale. A local church rummage sale that always has great bargains. I spent a whopping $2.15 and came home with a book, a package of Halloween printer paper, 3 games (super cool vintage), a vintage pyrex salt shaker (for the picnic basket) a gyroscope, a bike bag, a bread loaf pan, and a really cute huge Snoopy cookie cutter. Quite a haul for two bucks! This evening we played one of the games. It is called "Scrabble Sentence Cube game" which I had never seen before (1971 on the box) and you play it similarly to regular Scrabble only instead of forming words with letters, you form sentences with word blocks. Quite challenging. We were all into it though. We love games. The other two games were "Rack-O" (1966) and "Duet Bridge" (1967).
Got to visit the new home of The Knitting Nest! Wow! What a shop! So fantastic! I just wanted to move in and never leave. Charming and cozy. Got some great sock yarn for my son. I plan to use the two socks on two circulars to make dozens of pairs of socks for everyone. My copy of Antje Gillingham's "Knitting Circles Around Socks" came in the mail today. So now all I have to do is finish my two crochet projects and get started on the socks. I am absolutely making myself finish these projects first. I am not always very good about that. Too many things get started and not finished right away.
Garage sales tomorrow maybe. I am much pickier than I used to be. I don't haul home all the junk I used to. I have learned to be particular. Makes the bargain much more fun and no buyer's remorse that way.
Blessings!
